Information You Submit
Search-form entries, such as a name, phone number, or address, are sent to the third-party provider that produces those results. State College Borough Residents Directory does not retain its own copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains only the information in that message and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting systems may retain ordinary logs, including IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We use aggregate information to maintain the reference and understand page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement where applicable.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the reference, diagnose technical issues, measure general traffic, and improve content. We do not sell visitor lists or build individual visitor profiles.
External Services
Links may lead to Centre County portals, Pennsylvania agencies, library collections, archives, and third-party search providers. Those services control information submitted to them under their own policies. That includes sponsored search results provided by another company.
Service-Provider Access
Hosting and support providers may process the technical logs described above. Analytics or advertising partners can receive automatic data used for their services. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise only as needed to run the reference.
Security Practices
The reference uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described here. There are no user accounts, so the reference does not keep a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from someone under 18. If a minor has sent information directly, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Information Choices
Depending on where a visitor lives, access, correction, or deletion rights may apply to information a service keeps. Pennsylvania research for this reference did not identify a general statewide consumer-privacy deletion statute. Because the reference keeps very little, a request normally involves reviewing the contact mailbox and relevant logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Pennsylvania, Centre County, or State College Borough remain under the custodian's separate correction and access rules, including Pennsylvania's Right-to-Know Law, Act 3 of 2008, 65 P.S. ยงยง 67.101-67.3104.
